- Bring 1 Cup of water to boil in a quart pot.
- Add 1 Cup of sugar.
- Turn off burner and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat. Let cool. Pour into a container.
I like these little syrup containers:
Everyone likes a sweet treat ~ but it's best in moderation. Summer is a great time to build the habit of drinking water. You can flavor it with fruit, make lemonade, or explore other beverages besides soda. It's reported that people who drink soda generally have reduced bone mass.
With obesity and Type 2 Diabetes rising in all age groups, setting healthier habits pays off now and in the future for ourselves and children.

I love when I go to a restaurant and they have simple syrup! I am going to make some - I like sweet tea, but I always feel bad when a guest is an unsweet drinker and I have sweetened the whole pitcher! Now we can have it without sugar sludge in the bottom.
Love this idea for simple syrup. Also good information. I have a link party, and I would love it if you would link this post. You can find it at

This is such a great idea
Thanks for sharing! I have been WONDERING what simple syrup was for. I kept seeing the name different places and kept thinking it was a Starbucks product! HAHA!
We love iced coffee over here! I make the hubby a travel mug before he leaves for work. I just hate the sugar granules. I am going to make some of this! Thanks for posting.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I had no idea that this was the secret. Can't wait to try it when I make some lemonade.
I would love it if you would share this at the Smart Solutions linky party. You can link up here:

Have a great day!
I haven't heard of this, but I am definitely lured in now!!! Such a fabulous message you have written about. Your taste buds do adapt----our bodies are amazing creations aren't they?! Sugar is really like a drug and I really hope that the media starts recognizing that a little more in the future. It is definitely an ongoing battle unfortunately. So I am very happy to see your post
:)
Great idea. I am hosting a Giveaway to win a 50 dollar gift card to the store HomeGoods. It would be great if you stopped by and entered. Thanks Anu
