Embossed gift boxes pack a real WOW factor for Father's Day, birthdays, or any other occasion. In the same amount of time as it takes to wrap a gift, you can do something extraordinary.
I showed you how to emboss in this tutorial. Now let's take a look at the results:
When you follow my Paperless Gift Wrap tutorial, you can turn any old chipboard box {cereal, pasta, etc.} into a perfect gift-giving box. The plain one looks like it's wrapped in craft paper, but it's not!
After embossing this package with a woodgrain stamp, it's fun to decide how to embellish it. Come along on the creative journey. Burlap is always a great pick...but it's not quite enough.
Let's lasso them in with a rope loop 'bow.' Now that's starting to get interesting!
The rope gives it height and added interest. Still need a little something more...
Yes...all the elements work much better together! A perfect little package.
Just look at all that texture: burlap, rope, and wood! Use distressed embossing powder to make the woodgrain actually rough like wood.
Think he'll like it?
Plus... one more set of fathers day gift boxes that I'm excited to show you! *Click Here to See.*
Plain or embossed, this is a great way to save paper, recycle a used box and create a gift presentation to remember!
And it's simple to do.

Did you see my crafty version of this little dandy?
