Twiggy Nest from Pudding Cup!

The nesting instinct is in full force this spring at I Gotta Create!  The spring nest series continues with this twiggy version. Make these Twiggy Nest Party Bowls for your spring gathering!

Consider all the ways to use the nesting theme in your celebrations. Whether for spring, mothers day, a baby shower, new home, or college send-off, the nest symbolizes it all.

My series is a study of the interaction of our own "Nests" and Nature. I'm transforming plastic, ubiquitous in our homes, into more organic-feeling and functional forms.

The Twiggy Nest has a pudding cup as its base. Really.

Gather naturally fallen twigs and cut them to size with pruning shears, so that the bottoms are fairly even.

Allow the top edges to vary in length. I love the little crooks every now and then.

Hot glue the twigs all around the circumference of the pudding cup, add a springy ribbon and a few fabric flowers, and you have a lovely little vessel.

Nature inspired me with the flower thing.

Wanna upgrade your nest? How about simply placing it on a glass candlestick?

Now the table is starting to take on a rather rustic elegance.

Fill your nests with chocolate eggs or other treats.

Here's an entirely different look using the very same pudding cup as a base.

My DIY Lavender Cream Soda post has more photos of this fabulous nest.

Cute! My kids made something similar for Easter. http://www.craftymischiefbybrittany.com/2012/04/recycled-nest-craft.html
Maybe we'll have to try it with pudding cups.

These are just so cute. I love that you used a candlestick to have the sticks around. Thanks so much for sharing at Whimsy Wednesdays.

My daughter has been saying she wants a birthday about logs. I have no idea where she comes up with this stuff. That said, if she sticks with this plan, I love your design. Great ideas. Thanks for sharing. Jodi @ www.meaningfulmama.com

These are SO sweet- I'm envisioning them for a rustic theme wedding. HOW AMAZING! I'm sure if you didn't have pudding cups, cheap votives or yogurt cups would work just the same. Great idea- if you have the time, I'd love for you to share on Sweet Sharing Monday! http://saynotsweetanne.com/2012/sweet-sharing-monday-4/

Hi Christina, I'm going to keep this idea in mind. I'm always needing inexpensive {or even free} ideas to decorate for church activities!

Warmly, Michelle
