These pretty, irresistible little gobblers
are here to make your Thanksgiving festive!
Let's get started with the
Standing 3D Hand Turkey Tutorial
and Template!
You'll use the template link at the end
of this tutorial to cut two hand prints,
one beak, and one tail.
{The fastest way to get a left and right hand:
fold your patterned paper in half
and use the template to cut once,
resulting in two hands.}
Take the right and left hand prints.
On the wrong side of the paper
of one of the hands, run some glue
ONLY on the thumb and index finger area.
Stick the beak in there.
Then align your hand prints
and press to stick those parts together.
{The rest of the fingers and the heel
of the hands will be loose so you can
insert pretty patterned paper for the tail.}
Now take the tail and fold it in half
with the patterned side of the paper facing in,
as shown below.
Tuck the tail into the partially glued hands
and get all the fingers aligned.
Carefully lift the top hand layer and
run some glue. I like starting with the heel
of the hand first, getting both sides
adhered, and then finish with the fingers.
Then fluff them out
and they'll stand up for you!
Trim the bottom flat again if you need to.
