Back to School Grab Bags

School is back in session for many of us.  Give summer a last hurrah and help your kids anticipate a fantastic school year with these cute Back-to-School Fringed Cowpoke Grab Bags. Or you can use them at birthday and other parties, too!

We've been having fun with a Wild West theme here this summer. How about cow-themed grab bags filled with a few back-to-school supplies?

It's so appropriate that these fringed, spotted-cow cuties are made from lunch bags!  They are so easy, it's hard to call this a Grab Bag Tutorial!

Simply stamp some "cow spots" on the lunch sacks, snip up the top edge of the bag to create fringe, and then fold it over and staple it to look like stitching. I added my trademark tinfoil bling: a star, and looped a strip of bandana for a real Round Up kind of feel.

They go great with the Udderly Awesome Cow water balloons when you throw a Wild West Back-to-School Round Up party!

Your Fringed Cowpoke Grab Bags can hold crayons, pencils, glue, to name a few items.

Of course, these school supplies are always great crafting supplies to have around the house, too. {wink}

I remember loving math races in grade school. Anyone else? {Or was I just a numbers geek?}

If you have a birthday party coming up, these Fringed Cowpoke Grab Bags could be filled with other types of fun goodies.

Take FULL advantage of this last bit of summer before school starts to enjoy great water balloon games. Make a comical cow udder version from plastic gloves. {Click here for the tutorial.}

Herd your cowpokes toward school readiness by celebrating big! Complement the Back to School Round Up party theme with these Wild West ideas:
