{DIY} Cowboy Lasso Card

Lasso any fella's heart with a birthday, Fathers Day, anniversary or thank you card like this!

And the card goes great with these fabulously rustic DIY Coasters you can make yourself:

But let's get back to the card...

An old cowboy image and just a bit of twine give this

card some real giddy up and go! Cut out the photo and a heart. Make them stand out with glue pop dots.

The twine brings it all to life! This card goes great with a {DIY} embossed woodgrain gift box. Did I mention you can make the box yourself?! *Click here* to see variations of this gift box and how to do it.

Cowboys are a great theme for creating cards. You can stamp or print an apt sentiment on background paper. Of course the fonts are half the fun!

Wrangle his heart with a birthday, anniversary, or Fathers Day greeting to fit the occasion.

The cowboy and his lasso are the real stars of this show. You can spur more interest and dimension by layering your background papers. You can see three layers on this card.

Yeehaw!
Gotta love a great card!

Be sure to check out the final version of the gift box!

  4. Came over from Whimsy Wednesday to see your card. I love the depth and texture with the rich colors. Your cards are unique. I still make cards the old-fashioned way, though I am leaning toward going digital. I guess you must combine the two - that's a happy medium!
