Since my original
of the lovely, red, flat variety was such a hit,
I thought I'd share a new, edible twist with you
that is perfect for spring!
Here's
How to Make a Scalloped Peppermint Plate
...
Use a small, oven-safe frying pan.
Line the pan with parchment paper
that you've cut into a circle.
Fill it with a layer of green mints,
and put in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
Keep a close eye on your mints.
When they look slightly expanded and melted,
remove the frying pan from the oven
and allow to cool completely.
You want the mints to retain
enough of their shape
to make a beautiful scalloped edge.
Then simply remove from the pan
and... voila!
You have a beautifully scalloped, edible plate
for your St. Patricks, Easter, Spring or
Holiday treats!
And...
if you want to heap some super easy
on top,
here's the recipe for that!
