Nature inspires me and my hubby like nothing else. So imagine the commotion when this visitor appeared within 5 feet of our patio door!
Hubby had set up a new wildlife camera a few weeks ago, but these photos I snapped myself!
She didn't linger, but she didn't run, either. Even when I stepped outside. What a beauty!
So let's use the wildlife cam to see what else might be going on out there when we're not looking...
Doh! The coyote is at it again!
And yes, even the bobcat was caught roaming back there.
These two photos are from our property a couple of years ago. We love listening to the owls around here.
Mama deer had triplets! They were Soooo Sweet!
I'm continually grateful for and awed by the beauty, colors, sounds, forms and abundance of Nature. What inspires you creatively?
If wildlife isn't your thing, I have some human visitors on the blog.

Christina those are some mad awesome photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing photos, Christina! There's a whole other world that goes on at my riverbank the minute darkness falls. I'd love to have a camera running to capture it all! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! We love the wildlife, too. We used to have deer come through our backyard all the time, but someone built a house back there and we don't see them anymore even though we still find their tracks. I can honestly say I've never seen a bobcat around here, though!
ReplyDeleteWow! You've got it all! Pretty brave of you to step outside and snap a photo of the bobcat!
ReplyDeleteSo cool!
ReplyDeleteSo last night I dreamed we had lions in the yard! I did NOT step outside to snap photos of those in the dream. My excitement was also tinged with not a small amount of alarm. ;)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! You have a wildlife sanctuary in your back yard. Looks like that coyote is "claiming" his territory. :(
ReplyDeleteLove the mama deer and her triplets. What a rare sight.

We have some of those visitors and then some but I don't know if we have bobcats. And I don't want to see what those wild things do in my yard at night, as long as they leave the chickens and ducks alone. The last thing we were amused by was a raccoon taking a bath in a kiddie pool at 3 am.
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
WOW.....I love them!!! I wan't to live there! :)
ReplyDeleteHow cool!!! I so miss living in the country. I once counted 19 deer right outside my living room window in the daytime. Now I live in an ag town. But still, I have seen a bobcat in the park, owls in the neighbor's tree and Tule elk right outside of town
ReplyDelete:-D
WOW, you have an amazing property to have all those wonderful animals come to visit you. Maybe you should stop feeding them ;) Keep all small dogs and children inside! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love living out in the country where the "deer and the antelope play..."? (sing along with me now! lol!) We feed the deer and turkeys here, too - and have seen fox and coyote crossing the property. That poor cat looks so hot and thirsty. :(

How cool! Great photos! I guess your yard is a latrine? Oh, well!
ReplyDeleteThat is super-cool.

Great pictures! I love the one at night of the deer's butt. It's like he's saying, "what are you looking at?" Thanks for sharing! Janelle
ReplyDeletePS, where do you live? And... what site do you used to get the color hues from your pictures, I would love to try that! janelle
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...lots of excitement outside your window! The triplet baby deer are too sweet!
ReplyDeleteI got so excited when I saw your post title! I checked out all your bobcat pics a few months ago and was hoping you'd get another visit! They do have that wild look about them, don't they? Love that you set up a wildlife cam--what a great idea! If we had one, I would see a nightly parade of skunks! But, I don't need a camera to know they visit! Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteOh.My.Gosh. what wonderful photos of some amazing creatures! I Love God's creatures!
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible! What amazing photos and visitors. I would be way too scared to step outside with a bobcat roaming around. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete♥ Terrie ♥
That is great! The only thing in my backyard are my dogs... and the occasional cat, opossum, rat, mouse, lizard... Oh, we do have a neighborhood coyote, but I haven't seen him (them) yet. Life in the city isn't nearly as interesting!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to have a camera set up to catch your visitors. I know we have all those except the bob cat even though they can be around here.
ReplyDeleteWe have the deer, owls, foxes etc. but THANK GOD no bobcats! We did have racoons that were living on our roof!!! It was horrible and I THINK they are gone now. You got some great shots. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteHow neat! We had all of those at our last house too. Just moved a few weeks ago and we are trying to figure out what's around here. So far we've seen coyotes, racoons, squirrels, and a possible bobcat. It makes me so happy to see wild animals. :)
ReplyDeleteToo cool how close you were to the Bobcat. What a sanctuary you must have.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a raccoon come to our place at night to eat the bird food. We "caught" him one night and were able to snap a few pics. :)
I loved all your photos of the wildlife. How blessed are you to be able to enjoy this beauty in your own backyard. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDanielle
Hi Christina: Wow--that bob cat is amazing. She must have been hungry or thirsty to come so close to the house? Thank you for sharing all the neat wildlife photos with us!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you get to see all those animals. My son has a wildlife camera out also but mostly we just see and occasional deer and a racoon.
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic pictures - you're so lucky to have that much wildlife right at your doorstep. :)
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the Live Laugh Linky party. :)
Wow - am I jealous!! I love wildlife and would be in HEAVEN if I had those kind of visitors! Awesome photos - so glad I spotted you on Show & Tell Friday!!! (I'm the one with the squirrel post - WAY tamer than what you have going on! haha)... Donna
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome pictures! I think I would freak a little watching animals poop and pee in my yard! I know it happens, I just can't watch it! I think our property isjust a tad more suburban than your property...although we do get bobcats - remarkably. They make the news and everything. Thanks for sharing - and yes I love incorporating natural things in my creations and in my home.
ReplyDeleteI am so JEALOUS! I have never seen a bobcat. I love wild cats and they are so important to a healthy ecosystem. Thank you so much for presenting this bobcat with such enthusiasm. Michele @Portlandia Vintage.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome. Thank you for sharing it with us. I would be glued to that TV all day. I love animals, tame and wild. Thanks for sharing your party animals with our party at Hot Fun in the Summertime.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's a regular Wild Kingdom at your place! Love the triplets shot - that must be rare! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's amazing!! Laurel
ReplyDeleteOmGosh! The bobcat is gorgeous! You are an animal magnet. Thank you for sharing. Visiting from Simple Home Life. Would love it if you would share this at my Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House which goes live at 8am CST on Monday. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com Hope to see you at the bash. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
ReplyDeleteI wanna come over and spy on your backyard all night! From inside your house of course-heehee. Love the wildlife cam and it is just amazing to be able to see what is going on when you aren't there! Thanks for linking up at Get Schooled Saturday:)

LOVE seeing the wildlife in your backyard! What a treat for you~ We had a bobcat visit us once, but usually get road runners, opossums, snakes, birds (including owls and hawks) & coyotes. Have a nice weekend~
ReplyDeleteShawn
Christina, we live in the "sticks" but haven't seen, or heard, one of these bobcats in along time, but I'm sure they're out here. My husband has a lot of wild life on his outdoor cam too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn
Thank you for sharing all of you backyard visitors. So neat to be able to see so much wildlife.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos - bobcats are so rare and you got such a good look at it. I can't believe how many other animals there are too.
ReplyDeleteI swear if I saw this Bobcat I would of crapped my pants!!! Even though it's beautiful, I wouldn't of been able to enjoy it till I ran inside, locked the door, and screamed first. So glad you shared your creative inspiration with Sunday's Best - you helped to make it a great partay!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures, we have had a mountain lion sighted twice in our area in the last two weeks. We are watching our cattle a lot close let me tell you. We check them twice a day as it is, and my three sheep too. I just joined your blog, hope you will join me too.
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing!! I would love to have a bobcat visitor, but that's unlikely. We have deer. You can't see them. They come under the blanket of darkness. And devour our flowers. Pesky little things.
